In the heart of Breda, in the southern Netherlands, the new headquarters of BDO has officially opened its doors. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency, the project features the participation of ULMA Architectural Solutions, which supplied the ventilated façade system.
Spanning 2,550 square metres, the new office for one of the world’s leading professional services firms was developed according to strict sustainability standards. The structure is built using cross-laminated timber (CLT), while the building envelope incorporates STONEO panels with a ‘paper’ texture from ULMA Architectural Solutions. Together, these elements have helped the project achieve a GPR score of 8.5 and energy-neutral status.
ULMA’s ventilated façade system plays a key role in enhancing thermal and acoustic insulation, while also protecting the structure from the elements and extending its lifespan. It also offers advantages in terms of quick installation, safety, and design versatility—allowing architects full creative freedom to develop distinctive and aesthetically impactful projects.

With the BDO headquarters, a new benchmark has been set for responsible architecture—one that blends design, performance, and environmental responsibility in equal measure.
Through this collaboration, ULMA reaffirms its commitment to sustainable architecture by delivering solutions that combine durability, efficiency, and design excellence.
