With a total investment of 8,900 million dollars the project comprises the construction of a new refinery in the Mexican state of Tabasco, with a capacity of 340,000 barrels / day, which will increase the production of higher value added refined products in the country, thus assisting with the balance of trade and promoting the economic and social development of the Mexican south-east.
PEMEX (Petróleos Mexicanos), the state-owned producer, transporter, refiner and marketer of oil and natural gas in Mexico, has awarded a world-renowned South Korean Engineering company the contract for the development of the main packages that make up the project. This South Korean engineering company will build a diesel hydrodesulphurisation unit, a diesel hydrodesulphurisation unit, a naphtha hydrotreating unit, a naphtha reforming unit and a fluid catalytic cracking unit.
Following more than 10 years’ successful collaboration in top-level international projects, this South Korean engineering company has selected ULMA for the comprehensive supply of the forged flanges and line blanks for this project, thus reinforcing the already solid cooperation between both companies. This project will be the largest project executed by ULMA Advanced Forged Solutions in México to date.
