In addition to providing its formwork and shoring solutions, ULMA Construction’s engineering service has adapted all the equipment to the needs of each construction phase of the viaduct.
The 800-meter-long viaduct is part of the new Elvas-Evora high-speed railway line and will connect all the lines of the Southern International Corridor, from the port of Sines to Spain.
ULMA has participated hand in hand with ConstruGomes in the previous phases of the project, as well as in this third section, which is the longest of those that have been carried out.
The viaduct consists of a bridge deck supported by 19 piers and a 140-metre-long, 38-metre-high arch. ENKOFORM H-120 formwork, H-33 trusses to bridge the spans and the T-500 heavy-duty gantry shoring system were used in this project. The towers have a double function, both to support the formwork itself during construction and during the final pouring of the concrete.

In addition to having a commercial presence in this project, ULMA has provided its engineering service, adapting all the formwork and shoring equipment to the needs of each construction phase. Therefore, there has been a total dialogue and an almost daily collaboration between the construction management and the entire technical team.
