Mikel Torres, together with the heads of his Department, held a working meeting with the ULMA Group this morning.
The meeting, in which they discussed various topics of interest, allowed them to learn first-hand about the evolution of our socio-business project and to share the current situation and future challenges. The vice-chancellor of the Basque Government highlighted ‘the leadership of the ULMA Group and its commitment to innovation projects to face the challenges of the future’. He also stressed ULMA’s local roots and its work in attracting and retaining new talent.
After the meeting, the vice-president of the Basque Government and his team visited ULMA Medical Technologies, our business development focused on artificial intelligence and health. The visit continued at the headquarters of ULMA Handling Systems, our business dedicated to intralogistics engineering, where they had the opportunity to learn in detail about the design and implementation processes of our intralogistics engineering projects. The vice-president of the Basque Government highlighted ULMA Handling Systems as ‘a business model in logistics automation, a supplier of automated storage and material handling systems’.

Following his visit to ULMA, Torres expressed his ‘satisfaction that co-operativism continues to grow and that the Basque Country continues to be a world benchmark in the social economy, because this means that we will have a model of companies with values, which know how to undertake, share risks and share profits’.
