The Argentinean paint company, SINTEPLAST, will open its doors to full automation with the solution designed by ULMA Handling Systems.
SINTEPLAST is a leading Argentinean company in the paint market. It was founded in 1958, and although at first exclusively produced paint for the industrial sector, it has now expanded its business to marketing architectural, industrial and automotive products.
Today, the company has more than twenty product lines and 4,800 articles that are distributed daily throughout Argentina.
In 2019, Sinteplast will open its integral intralogistics solution developed by the logistics engineering firm, ULMA Handling Systems.
ULMA Handling Systems has designed and developed an integral intralogistics engineering project, which will fully automate the entire process from the reception of the products in the warehouse, through order picking, to dispatch.
In this way, SINTEPLAST will increase its stock capacity to 13 million litres of paint. In addition, it will increase from dispatching 250,000 litres per day, to being able to dispatch 500,000 litres per day in order to supply its customers’ needs and improve its service.
SINTEPLAST’s new facilities will have an automated pallet warehouse with a height of over 38 metres and an automated small container warehouse for smaller products, which will be connected to the order picking area by automated STV transport.
The order picking will be carried out using the “product-to-man” concept with the support of Pick To Light devices, enabling the picking of up to 500,000 litres per day in SINTEPLAST’s new Argentinean facilities.
